At William Lilley Nursery we pride ourselves on our caring approach and build close relationships with families. We offer home visits before starting nursery to build bonds and help with settling and ensure our children get off to a flying and confident start!

We have a clear focus on the prime areas of the curriculum: communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, and physical development. These underpin all aspects of our learning and help children's strong development. We believe that communication and language is the key to a child's success and happiness. Our nursery setting encourages enriched vocabulary and opportunities for talk. The children will learn to verbally tell their own stories using 'talk for writing' and 'Read, Write Inc Phonics' which lead into our Reception curriculum.

Children at William Lilley benefit from our excellent outdoor area. We spend lots of time outside learning about the natural world around us. The nursery children mix with the Reception classes and staff, building familiarity, helping them to transition successfully.

We offer lots of first-hand experiences and enrichment days, such as; a visit from a farm, pirate day, seaside day and our class caterpillars.
